Spin Forming and Orbital riveting
Spin Forming machines have a spinning forming tool (known as a peen) which is gradually lowered into the rivet which spreads the material of the rivet into a desired shape depending upon the design of the tool.
Orbital Riveting machines offer the user more control over the riveting cycle with cycle times of 2 to 3 secs per operation. Orbital riveting can be used on a wide range of metals (Magnesium, Zinc, Die cast Aluminum, copper, etc.) to allow the mechanical bonding of delicate, brittle components such as sensitive electrical or electronic components, lenses, light pipes, etc.
Kamek's engineering team can help you bring your parts to the next level with fastener- free assembly of your molded or die cast parts.
